Thursday Thirteen #34
Summer is almost here. Even though it's June, it hasn't quite arrived. We are still having days in the 60s. But, I'm looking forward to days in the 80s. So, in anticipation, here are. . .
13 Things I Like To (But Don't Always) Do During The Summer

1. Play tennis (at least once a week)
2. Go for walks
3. Sit outside and read
4. Barbeque outside
5. Go swimming (not nearly as much as I'd like)
6. Go camping
7. Picnic in the park
8. Hike in the mountains
9. Travel/Sightsee
10. Visit friends
11. Ride bikes
12. Rollerblade/skate
13. Shop (for summer clothes)

you had me until you said "hike." It's too hot here in the summer for that.

My T13 is up, stop by if you get a chance.

My thirteen is shared, hope you can come by and leave a 'howdy-do' in ghe comments!!!

Too hot for hiking in the summer here too, but I love picnics and cookouts, especially by the beach!

No hiking for me, but the rest sounds fun!

Very nice list, I like it. BOUNCE on over to my 13.

hey Denise how are you? it has been awhile -- I just went for a very windy hot walk:)I like to do most of those too except I have never been good at Tennis I used to play raquetball

For all of those who said it was too hot to hike, you'll notice I said, "in the mountains". It is too hot to hike in the valley - the mountains are much cooler - and more beautiful.

Thanks for visiting.

Visiting friends and reading are about the only things there I would like. I'm a sedentary homebody. :-)

I like to do a few of those, too. It sounds like you'll have a great summer with so many options.

Ah, summer. I totally agree with you on so many of these. Camping and hiking rock!

I've already tried to go hiking in the mountains twice and been turned back by snow. What a long, cold winter it's been.

I love the whole list espeically the shopping part. :)

Heh. I'm shopping online right now; I desperately need shorts.

I notice that tennis is at the top of your list, after you'd commented about tennis at my place. Is something on your mind?

Happy TT, babe!

Sounds like some great summer fun. Love swimming. We just got our pool up and our boat out on the water. Looking forward to using them. Happy TT!! Thanks for visiting mine.

I love the traveling part of summer the best. We are going to be doing some local travel this year as well as a trip to the beach.

Thanks for visiting "Got Bible?"

I've like to do all the things you listed, except I never gone to camping before. Nor have I play tennis. But I think maybe both sound good :)

Great list! And thanks for visiting my blog, I hope you come back again sometime. Have a good Thursday!

Thanks for stopping by Small Reflections. I’m glad you found my ‘tennis update’ & photo collage helpful and I hope you get the chance to watch the Men’s Semifinals tomorrow as well as the Finals over the weekend! All of these sound like fun to me … though I’ve given up roller blading & shopping just because ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

I really like your list - what fun. And I love your blog. I found you via Squidoo and was intrigued, so I followed you here. I'm pretty new to online publishing and can honestly say, that when my blog grows up, it wants to be just like yours! :) If you don't mind, I'd like to add a link to your blog, from my blog. Please let me know either at my blog or at Squidoo (link can be found on my blog page). BTW, I really did like your list, but here in the Phoenix area, most of my favorite summer activities involve staying inside. A lot of your summer list would make my winter list! Anyway, blessings to you! ~ Tracy

It's been close to 90 here for a couple of weeks and while I usually just bask in the heat, pregnancy is just making me swelter this summer!

It sounds as though you will have a very pleasant and very busy summer.
