A wedding in Bavaria
OK, so today's little fact and question is an easy one. But, it won't matter that it's so easy if no one answers it.

The marriage of Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen to Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria took place on October 12, 1810. In honor of their marriage a great horse race was organized and huge celebration was held. The field where the race was held was later renamed to the Theresienweise (Theresa's field or meadow). The celebration was apparently so much fun that a decision was made to hold it every year - and the city of Munich has been doing so ever since.

What is the name of this celebration?

What a terrific post! (And I learned something - I had no clue there were horse races at those things!)
