Presidential Nomination
Another short one today as I'm waist-deep in edits.

The delegates to the Republican National Convention held in Chicago, Illinois voted to nominate Abraham Lincoln for President and Hannibal Hamlin for Vice-President. Lincoln, whose antislavery views were well known, went on to win the election.

This Day in History: On May 18 of what year were Lincoln and Hamlin nominated?

You're right, Robyn. It looks like you got your login problems solved - or did you have to create a whole new account?

Denise, every time I want to comment on any blog that uses Google or Blogger I have to go and sign up each and every time. It sucks!!! It's easier to just put my name at the bottom and go Anonymours some times.
